Hideo Kojima reveals plans for next game

It's official; Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima has parted ways with Konami and set up his own studio, Kojima Productions.

Hideo Kojima reveals plans for next game

Today, he revealed that he has partnered with PlayStation for the studio's first title. It will, he says, be a console exclusive on PlayStation 4, but will also be released on PC at a later date.

Don't expect it to be a version of the cancelled Silent Hills game or related to Metal Gear though. Sony says that Kojima's game will be "something completely new." Kojima, meanwhile, says that it will give players "a new and innovative gaming experience."

Little is known about the game itself. All Sony Computer Entertainment will say is that it will publish the game and "provide support [to the game's development] as necessary." A published Q&A doesn't reveal much other than the fact that not much is being shared at the moment.

Check back for more as Kojima and Sony open up about the project.
