Star Trek Beyond's trailer embraces Justin Lin's style

The first trailer for Star Trek Beyond has landed, and it's probably not what many people would have expected.

The appearance of Justin Lin's name in the credits may explain some of the shots; he was responsible for directing four of the Fast & Furious series. But from the choice in music - Beastie Boys' Sabotage - to the emphasis on action and comedy, this is a trailer that should entertain throughout.

It's not all smooth sailing for our heroes though. We see the U.S.S. Enterprise ripped asunder, while Bones is having a tough time of it too.
