Star Wars comes to Google - choose your side
The biggest name in entertainment is now working with technology mega giants Google on a very unique experience, and it all starts with a very important choice - the Dark Side, or the Light...
Once you're logged in with your Google account you'll be asked to choose between the Light Side or the Dark Side, with pictures of Daisy Ridley as Rey and Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, just to keep your characters in mind. Once you pick one, you'll get totally unique new graphics and goodies in many of your Google products, including Maps, Gmail, Chrome, Translate, YouTube and more.
You can change sides at will (which seems like a fickle thing to do, let's be honest) and you can be sure that new content will roll out regularly to keep the excitement flowing. It's a nice little touch for fans of the franchise but let's take a moment to think about the scale of the product that is being offered. This is a movie release which is getting it's own custom url directly through Google and which the San Fran tech company is allowing to rebrand some of their most popular products which have millions of daily visitors.
In summary, Star Wars is just a little bit huge...
