Latest Nest Learning Thermostat comes to Ireland

The third generation of the Nest Learning Thermostat has just arrived in Ireland, bringing you more smart home control

The Nest Learning Thermostat is a piece of smarthome technology which allows you to interact with your heating from afar with your mobile phone. It also learns your patterns and adjusts to them, remembering to turn on the heating at 7am on a weekday so you can get up and out without shivering too much.

Now the third generation of the device has finally come to Ireland and other countries across Europe. The new version has a sleek design with a scren that's 40 percent bigger, brighter and with a higher resolution - making it easier to see from a distance. You can also set up Farsight, which senses movement in the room and can flash up the current temperature or time, perfect for a quick glance from anywhere.

The latest Nest also comes with some features which are exclusive to this European release. It can now control your hot water tank on top of interacting w ith central heating, so you can boost it if you're planning on doing the washing up or make sure its off if you're away for the day. OpenTherm also brings new functionality, letting the Nest communicate with compatible boilers to make sure they use exactly the right amount of gas to save energy and keep your home comfortable.

There's also a new stand for the Nest, which will make it ideal for homes which don't have a thermostat and can also make it more visible if the actual one is tucked away in a corner. And you'll also find the same great integration with other Nest products, including the Protect smoke alarm and Camera.
