VIDEO: Nintendo shows off The Legend of Zelda Wii U footage

Nintendo focused on The Legend of Zelda at its latest Nintendo Direct conference, showing off footage from some upcoming titles and revealing new information related to the franchise.

We got a glimpse at 2016's The Legend of Zelda Wii U, which looks to be shaping up nicely. There's just 13 seconds of footage in the Nintendo Direct video below, but it looks glorious. Skip to 3:17 to see the new footage.

One of the other big announcements from the conference was that The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is coming to Wii U in HD form. The title will feature remastered graphics, as-yet-unrevealed gameplay, and will be influenced by Legend of Zelda-themed Amiibo. Nintendo also teased players will be able to carry over data saved to the Wolf Link Amiibo to the new Zelda title.

Finally, Nintendo revealed that Linkle is coming to Hyrule Warriors Legends, and that Spirit Tracks and Phantom Hourglass will be launching on the Wii U eShop
