Minecraft is finally coming to Wii U - Possibly today!

Minecraft is available on smartphones, tablets, PCs, and a variety of home consoles, but not on Nintendo's Wii U. However, that looks set to change as a rating for Minecraft Wii U appeared on the Pan European Game Information (PEGI) page.

Minecraft Wii U will be suitable for players aged 7 and up, according to the PEGI listing. It contains " Non realistic looking violence towards fantasy characters, pictures or sounds likely to be scary to young children, and non realistic looking violence towards characters which although human are not very detailed."

What is most surprising is its release date. According to PEGI, Minecraft Wii U will be released today!

Today also marks the first Nintendo Direct broadcast since the passing of former CEO Satoru Iwata. Nintendo has kept its announcements under wraps, but perhaps we're about to hear about an immediate release for Minecraft Wii U.
