Dory is in search of her family in Finding Dory's first trailer

Pixar's most forgetful fish, Dory, remembers "something" from her past in the first trailer for Finding Dory. And she's off to find her family. But don't worry, she's still the same forgetful Dory everyone knows and loves.

The poster, released yesterday, said "she just kept swimming." And the opening shot reveals how easy it could be to lose, or be separated from, her.

Dory must have a memory bank deep in reserve where essential information and memories are kept. She remembers the past vividly at times, though she seems to be asleep at the time, and she managed to keep P. Sherman's address in mind when she really had to. Perhaps her desire to meet her long estranged family may be enough to keep her focused and on the straight and narrow.

Finding Dory will feature characters from 2003's Finding Nemo. Sure enough, Nemo, Merlin, and the Tank Gang are present and correct. It will be fun to see who else pops up in what should be a delightful tale.

Finding Dory will be released in June 2016 and will hopefully be full of valuable life lessons once more. Remember, fish are friends, not food.
