VIDEO: Watch a Star Destroyer come crashing down in Star Wars: Battlefront's Jakku DLC

There’s a distinctive image in the second trailer for The Force Awakens with a crashed Star Destroyer on the desert planet of Jakku. The free Battle of Jakku DLC for Star Wars: Battlefront may give us some indication as to how that happened.

The DLC is set 29 years before the upcoming movie, in the aftermath of the Rebel victory in the Battle of Endor. The trailer is packed full of action and we see that Star Destroyer starting to plummet. It looks like DICE is finally going to be making use of Battlefield 4’s Levolution technology.

The Battle of Jakku DLC will be released for free after the launch of Star Wars: Battlefront. Of course, there’s a reason why we’re getting a glimpse at it so early.

While the DLC will be released to everyone on December 8th, those who pre-order it will be able to delve into this new experience a week earlier.

Star Wars: Battlefront will be released on November 19th on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
