Virtual reality will let you be John Wick

You’ll soon be able to experience the world through the eyes of John Wick thanks to a virtual reality experience using HTC’s Vive headset.

The experience will see you exploring the Continental Hotel as Wick. You’ll have to figure out how to "bribe the concierge, pick up dubious clues, and finally dodge bullets as someone breaks the Continental’s code of conduct and attacks their hotel room."

Interestingly, users will be able to move about freely in a 10-by-10 feet space. You’ll even have to crawl about once the bullets start flying. And the Vive’s pair of handheld controllers will let you interact with things in the hotel.

Lionsgate is partnering with with VR startup Wevr to produce the experience, according to Variety.

For now, the experience is limited to demos and roadshows. Lionsgate president of interactive ventures and games Peter Levin highlighted how immersive virtual reality can be, but the experience’s run will be limited as the VR market is still finding its footing.

John Wick fans who can’t attend somewhere with the experience will be able to dive back into the world soon enough, as a sequel is currently in development.
