Here's what Quicksilver is up to in X-Men Apocalypse
It's going to be really quite epic, and will also be throwing up some new characters which will continue these mutant stories into the future - like Channing Tatum's Gambit. There will be plenty of familar faces as well, mostly the folks first introduced in First Class a couple of years back and expanded on in Days of Future Past.
Happily, one of the best people in Days is also back - Evan Peters as Quicksilver. He made a huge impression with a very limited amount of screentime, especially during the scene where he's escaping from a prison cell and whirling around a kitchen taking out guards. We've got some news on what the this young fellow is up to in the new film and they could be taken as spoilers, so we'll write more after a video of his most excellent scene in the previous film.
SPOILERS AFTER THIS.
SERIOUSLY, YOU WERE WARNED!
So Peters has been out chatting about his other big project, a major role in American Horror story and naturally got around to Apocalypse. When asked what he was up to in the film, he had this to say:
That's just a quick quote but it tells us quite a lot, especially if you're aware of Quicksilvers lineage. It's referenced pretty blatantly in Days of Future past but in the lore he was always the son of Magneto, along with his sister Scarlet Witch (who appears in Joss Whedon's Avengers Age of Ultron alongside a different take on Quicksilver because comic copyrights are insane).
So it turns out Peters will be trying to find Michael Fassbender in the new film, which will draw him into the wider struggle against Apocalypse for nothing less than the fate of the world. Sounds interesting.
