Lara hopes to restore family name in Rise of the Tomb Raider launch trailer

The Croft family name was discredited after Lara's father took an interest in the mythology of immortality. But he mightn't have been as crazy as many thought.

Lara continues her father's research only to find that legends are often based in truth. This revelation will take her around the world from the baking heat of Syria to the harsh landscape of Syberia.

As if these conditions weren't tough enough to deal with, there's an organisation on her tail, called Trinity, that looks to find this secret for its own nefarious purposes.

Rise of the Tomb Raider looks like it'll build on the foundation set down by the original; even the launch trailer sees her fall down, and we get glimpses of traps that will surely result in a grizzly death scene if you mistime button presses.

Rise of the Tomb Raider will be released on Xbox One on November 10th. It will be released on PC early in 2016, while PlayStation 4 players will have to wait until around this time next year.
