Jessica Jones is following in the footsteps of Daredevil with her own Netflix TV show. And it's looking good.

Firstly let's take a moment to confirm the fact that small screen Marvel on Netflix has managed to get a female-focussed product out as just their second series while we're going to have to wait until 2019's Captain Marvel for a big screen outing with a female lead. That's 11 years after Iron Man debuted, which is pretty shameful.

At least these Netflix series are being given a huge amount of space to create their own unique vibe, a million miles away from Agents of SHIELD and considerably darker than even the nastiest of the movies to date. And Jessica Jones looks to be continuing that trend in this first full trailer.

It looks like pretty delicious stuff, and reports from a screening of the first episode were overwhelmingly positive. We're also looking forward to seeing how the character of Luke Cage (Mike Colter) is developed here, as he's set to get his own series in 2016.

The main villain here is Kilgrave, played by former Doctor Who David Tennant, and it looks like he's going to be making things very tough indeed for Jones, played by Krysten Ritter.
