Doug Liman could direct Gambit
The X-Men spin offs continue with a major motion picture version of Gambit planned for the not so distant future. It has a star in the form of Channing Tatum who is set to pop up in X-Men Apocalypse as a way to kick off the character. But the film doesn't yet have a director.
Or rather it doesn't right now. Rupert Wyatt (Rise of the Planet of the Apes) dropped out less than amicably a few months back, throwing the production into chaos, especially as it came around the same time Channing Tatum seemed set to up and leave. The actor is still on board right now, with French lady Lea Seydoux set to play his love interest.
