We're between massive releases this week - Bond is back very soon - so there's some action, drama and Diesel at the box office.

The Last Witch Hunter

Vin Diesel. Is. The Last Witch Hunter. That's because he's immortal and the rest of them are dead. So he's tooling around in modern times battle supernatural nasties. We're getting a whiff of Constantine off this one - and that's meant as a compliment. Game of Thrones' Rose Leslie also stars, along with Michael Caine and the ever youthful Elijah Wood.

Mississippi Grind

Here's an interesting one - the directors of Half Nelson working with Ryan Reynolds and Ben Mendelsohn on a chat-heavy character piece which feels like it's from a totally different era. The performances are marvellous, and the movements of the script are fascinating. Just don't go in expecting lots of action!

The Legend of Longwood

A young girl moves from her home in New York to the a small village in Ireland and gets caught up in a 300 year old mystery surrounding the terrifying Black Knight. Shot locally as an Irish-Dutch co-production, Longwood was to be the first Irish film to be converted into 3D. We're not sure if that's still the case!

Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension

Six years after the original activity, The Ghost Dimension is going to take us back to reveal all the secrets of the movies so far. Which sounds pretty good to us. This is also set to be the last Paranormal Activity and the biggest yet, and the first to be shown in 3D.
