Batman: Arkham Knight gets much requested feature
This update means that you can choose one of up to seven characters for the Combat AR Challenges, regardless of whether or not you’ve gotten to the point that they show up in the story or not. You will, however, be restricted by the DLC that you have purchased.
Everyone will be able to play as Robin, Catwoman, Nightwing and Azrael. Red Hood, Harley Quinn and Batgirl will only be available if you’ve purchased their respective DLC packs.
The new characters have all of their abilities from the main game and DLC. Warner has warned that some of the more advanced challenges may be more difficult if you choose to play as anyone other than Batman.
"That's intentional," Warner said. "Batman is a legendary hand-to-hand fighter, and a great deal more powerful than his allies, but you'll find that the other characters' abilities and animations reflect their respective skills as well."
The alternative characters also come without dedicated leaderboards. But there are still stars to be earned for each character on each challenge, which will contribute to your overall Gotham's Greatest rating.
This isn’t the last update planned. A November update will add the ability to use any of these characters in Arkham Knight’s Invisible Predator AR Challenges.
