Charlize Theron's Furiosa might skip next Mad Max
Mad Max Fury Road took a long and tortured route to the screen, with multiple false starts, an early version version Mel Gibson, an animated take and crazy Aussie weather all taking its toll. What we finally got to see on the big screen was well worth the wait, but we definitely don't want this franchise to disappear for another two decades or more.
Just as well then that director George Miller has lots of material to mine, including the original stories which were suppoed to make up a two part arc featuring the characters of Furiosa (Charlize Theron) and Max (Tom Hardy) on their own separate journeys. He's hoping to still bring those tales to the big screen, but he doesn't yet know in what form:
