VIDEO Powerful trailer for Beasts of No Nation

Netflix is nothing if not ambitious, with its first self-made feature set to tell a powerful and harrowing story of child soldiers in Africa. Here's the final emotional trailer for Beasts of No Nation.

The film takes us to an unnamed African country where a young boy called Agu (Abraham Attah) is forced to join a group of mercenaries led by the Commandant (Idris Elba). The film comes from the book by Uzodinma Iweala and was adapted and directed by Cary Fukunaga - best known for his work on the first season of True Detective.

Beasts of No Nation has been earning rave reviews since it debuted at the Venice film festival earlier in the year and it will also be getting a limited theatrical release in the States to qualify for Oscar contention. Naturally, it's coming to Netflix on the same day, with the film available to all on the 16th of October 2015.
