Michael B Jordan could be Boba Fett
Remember when there wasn't a major Star Wars movie for 10 years? Well it's sounding like that's never going to happen again as plans for that galaxy far, far away expand with every passing day. We've already got major entries planned up to 2019, with spin off flicks in between and n doubt more on the horizon.
After episode VII, 2016's Rogue One, Episode VIII, a Han Solo film and Episode IX (phew!) there are still plans in place for a standalone 'Star Wars Story' focussing on the character of Boba Fett maybe sometime in 2020. This was the film that was originally set up to be directed by Fantastic Four helmer Josh Trank, before he plummeted out of Lucasfilms good graces for some reason that we'll never know.
The film is still a go though, and now we're even getting some casting rumours five years ahead of its potential release date - with Michael B Jordan's name in the mix. He's a star on the rise, even after the failure of Fantastic Four, and it would be worth locking him into a contract now.
This news is far from official and we don't even know for sure if the film is going to be made at this point - Disney and Lucasfilm will want to take a long hard look at the performance of both Episode VII and Rogue One before they commit all their resources to mining the back catalogue of characters for further adventures.
