How to become a Star Wars Battlefront hero

How do you play as Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader in Star Wars Battlefront? With the beta now available, it's as good a time as any to find out.

After witnessing Star Wars Battlefront’s E3 trailer, everyone wanted to know, “How do I get to play as Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader?” Well, that question has been answered, and it’s much more straightforward than you might expect.

You become a hero by securing a battle coin pick-up, which are similar to Battlefield 4’s Battle Pick-ups. Once you pick one up, you have a few seconds to use it. If you don’t use it, you lose it. These battle coins spawn on the map, but in different locations so that it’s harder for players and teams to simply camp them.
