Unspecified sources have told The Hollywood Reporter that Grahame-Smith is currently in negotiations to work on the movie based on DC’s super-fast superhero.

Grahame-Smith has also worked with Warners in writing Lego Batman. While he has directed episodes of The Hard Times of RJ Berger, this would be his feature directorial debut.

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the duo behind The Lego Movie and Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, have provided a treatment for the film. They were apparently keen to direct it too, but are now in line to work on the Han Solo Star Wars movie instead.

The Flash will be released on March 3rd, 2018, and we already know that Ezra Miller will play the classic hero. The Flash, as a character, is set to be introduced in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and then featured more prominently in Justice League Part 1.
