Star Wars: Battlefront beta's install is massive!

The Star Wars: Battlefront beta will get underway on October 8th, so you may want to start clearing some hard drive space.

Those playing on either PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will need at least 7GB of hard drive space available, while those on PC will need 11GB.

To make up for the PC’s additional requirements, players will be able to pre-download the beta on October 7th, which should lessen the pain somewhat. That means players will be pretty much ready to play once the beta goes live.

Those who play the Battlefront beta will be able to advance to level five before being capped, though they will still be able to unlock items thereafter. Progress will not however carry over into the full game.

In the beta, players will be able to try out the mammoth 40-player Walker Assault mode on the Hoth map, the the 16-player Drop Zone mode on the Sullust map and the cooperative Survival Mission mode on the Tatooine map.

The Star Wars: Battlefront beta begins on October 8th and runs until October 12th. Star Wars: Battlefront will be released on November 17th.
