Fallout 4 won't have platform exclusive DLC

Fallout 4 players will be able to get the full experience, complete with DLC, regardless of which platform they play on.

Fallout 4 won't have platform exclusive DLC

Bethesda’s VP of PR and Marketing, Pete Hines, confirmed that they aren’t doing a DLC exclusive with anyone. This means that all content will be available on all platforms and at the same time.

It’s great news for Fallout 4 fans, but unfortunate that this approach has to be acknowledged at all. It just shows how accustomed players are getting to console exclusivity of one type or another.

DLC is certainly planned though. Bethesda outlined that the Season Pass, which gets players access to all released DLC, will feature content worth at least $40. The developer also said that free updates are planned, which will add new features.

Fallout 4 will be released on November 10th, 2015.
