Taken gets a TV series

The Taken series has proven pretty popular with three movies so far - naturally that means its spin off time.

In this case, creator Luc Besson is developing a TV series which will examine where Bryan Mills got that 'particular set of skills.' It'll be a prequel story of the early life of Mills, moving him from working in the military towards the character we're familiar with.

So it's just a young dude working his way up as some kind of soldier. Will the show even be called Taken, giving the fact that there's no family member to take - at least as far as we know? God, maybe it'll have some terrible subtitle like 'The Bryan Mills Chronicles...'

We don't have much more information at the moment, but the series seems to be gaining some momentum, with the NBC network already on board. That said, there's no cast or showrunner in place so it might be a while before we see how these skills came about.
