Everyone will be able to play Star Wars Battlefront's beta

The upcoming Star Wars Battlefront beta will be open to everyone. The beta will be available for all to download on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One as soon as it’s released.

Community chief Mathew Everett posted some interesting details about the beta online. It will be playable online or offline with modes like the 40-player Walker Assault on Hoth, and Drop Zone on Sullust available, as well as a Survival Mission mode on Tatooine. This mission can be played alone, with a friend online, or in couch co-op.

AI bots will also make up part of each team. Everett confirmed that the Fighter Squadron mode will feature ten bots on each side. How capable these bots will be is yet to be seen.

Players will be equipped with a primary blaster as well as a hand of Star Cards. These Star Cards will be customisable.

DICE is yet to reveal when the Star Wars Battlefront beta will take place. It’s expected to launch early in October, while the full game will be released on November 17th.
