Watch the Rugby World Cup live on the new 3player app

TV3 has unveiled its new-and-improved 3player app, which it says is faster, better optimised, and easier to navigate.

The app is now available, and free, on desktop, iOS, and Android. It can be used to catch up with TV3 and 3e shows with a variety of search tools available. Viewers can search for a show, search by day, or even browse the A-Z directory.

3player also lets people watch shows and events live. The launch of this player comes ahead of the beginning of the Rugby World Cup, which gets underway on Friday. 3player users will be able to watch all 48 games live or catch up if they miss anything.

Group Digital Development Manager at TV3, Brendan McGillicuddy, said that TV3 wanted to focus “on delivering a completely updated user experience, by keeping everything as simple to use as possible.” More features and improvements are promised over time, but it seems most important that it launched before the Rugby World Cup got underway.

TV3’s 3player is available to download for free on desktop, iOS, and Android.
