VIDEO: Classic character added to Street Fighter V

Street Fighter V’s roster is up to 13 confirmed characters after Capcom announced that Karin is in the game at Tokyo Game Show.

Karin was originally playable in 1998's Street Fighter Alpha 3, and seems to fit right in here with some quick movements and manoeuvres that should put opponents under pressure. Capcom says that beneath her “golden locks and razer-sharp wit lies a true martial artist trained in the unique “Kanzuki style” of fighting.”

Capcom believes that Karin will appeal to “fans who’ve longed for her return or for those just looking for a quick fighter with lots of versatility.”

Street Fighter V will feature 16 playable characters at launch. We know 13 of them already, while another will be announced at the Brazil Game Show in October. It’s likely that the full cast will be known before the end of the year.

Street Fighter V will be released in 2016.
