Apple's WatchOS 2 delayed

The Apple Watch has been out for almost six months now, with the figures suggesting that Apple may already be close to winning the wearable war. But it's not getting an update just yet.

Apple's WatchOS 2 delayed

WatchOS 2 was expected to launch on the 16th of September at the same time as the highly antipcated iOS 9 but that the wearable firmware update has been put on hold due to a bug. Speaking officially to The Verge, Apple said: "We have discovered a bug in development of watchOS 2 that is taking a bit longer to fix than we expected. We will not release watchOS 2 today but will shortly."

Obviously it's always better to delay if there's a potential issue, and Apple will be more interested in keeping its many millions of iOS users happy in the short term. WatchOS 2 had been promising a host of new features, including new Watch faces, an improved range of apps and Time Travel - which lets you check out what's happening in the near future and also look back at the recent past. It's a bit like Pebble's Timeline feature if we're being honest.
