StarCraft II Legacy of the Void release dated

More than five years ago, StarCraft II was first released on PC. The subtitle was Wings of Liberty and it focussed on the human side of the seemingly eternal conflict in the stars also encompassing the forces of Zerg and Protoss.

If that all means nothing to you then you missed out on one of the defining real time strategy series ever made - StarCraft. Originally released in 1998 by genre veterans Blizzard (who also made World of Warcraft) is has been enduring title in the RTS world, and remains one of the most competitive games around, with massive prize money for professional players.

Five years on, the StarCraft II saga is finally coming to an end with Legacy of the Void. It follows the Zerg-led Heart of the Swarm with a story that's all about the Protoss - those mysterious energy beings with the really cool voices. And you're going to get to help them reclaim their homeworld when the expansion arrives on the 10th of November.
