Christopher Nolan's next film gets 2017 release date

This is the first news of the project. And it’s possibly the last we’ll get for some time. Warner Bros. is keeping its cards close to its chest and wouldn’t release any other details about the film.

It will have some competition when it’s released. Already set for a July 21st, 2017 release date are Pitch Perfect 3, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, and an untitled Blue Sky animation project from Fox. Pirates of the Caribbean 5 is out two weeks beforehand, while the Spider-Man reboot is scheduled for release a week later.

This will be Nolan’s first feature since Interstellar, which grossed $673 million worldwide and received critical acclaim. Warner Bros. has handled all three films in Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy, which grossed $2.45 billion, as well as 2010’s Inception, which grossed more than $800 million.

Stay tuned for more information about this currently unnamed Christopher Nolan movie.
