The Witcher 3 romance tweaks still incoming

The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt has had a lot of extra material added since release, but fans are still waiting for more material for Triss

The Witcher 3 has been out a few months now and knocked out millions of sales - mostly because it’s really really good. But it hasn’t hurt that developers CD Project RED have been releasing new free content and features at a furious rate and doing a great job of responding to their fans.

For example, CDPR has promised to make tweaks to one significant character in reponse to fan feedback. Some players weren’t happy with how the romance, or lack thereof, with Triss ended up as the game progressed. The general feeling was that she disappeared from the story, and the nature of her arc didn’t feel very satisfying for someone who has been with the franchise for such a long time.

The developers have promised to go back into the game and change some things around, tweaking her dialogue in some subtle ways. It’s all still a little vague and we wouldn’t expect any earth shattering changes but it’s a lot of effort to go to for an issue which many people didn’t find that significant.

The new content has yet to appear but a posting on the official forum confirms that it will be part of the next patch, but there’s no release date for that yet.

Additionally, we’re hearing that the expansion pack Heart of Stone will be playable in New Game Plus mode - essentially meaning you’ll be able to kick it off as a fully upgraded Geralt from the end of the main game. This is hardly surprising as CDPR has previously said it will be a story you can play after you have finished The Wild Hunt.
