Sony Xperia Z5 special edition has a 4K screen
The latest suggests that there will actually be two different versions of the phone. There's the 5.2 inch regular model and a 5.5 inch 'Premium' version. And that larger model will be the first smartphone in the world to come with a 4K screen. That's right - 4K resolution as in the kinds of images you're seeing on the highest of high end TVs!
It will have over 800 pixels per inch - hundreds more than the best phones on offer today. That's impressive stuff. And there's reason to believe the rumours as well because they come direct from the source via a leaked video featuring a marketing director from Sony Mobile.
The video has since been removed but it also showed off the 23 megapixel rear camera which has blazingly fast autofocus and a decent 5x zoom. The Z5 also promises to bring a fingerprint reader to the range for the first time, in a lush metal and glass body.
Top hardware iside adds up a pretty impressive package. This isn't official word as yet so stay tuned for more from IFA 2015.
