Dickens and Darwin do pre-order stuff in Assassin's Creed Syndicate
The Assassin’s Creed series has always offered a lot of extra material - from costumes to quests and everything else in between. And Syndicate isn’t going to be any different, with new information on the pre-order bonus on the way for early adopters.
The Darwin and Dickens Conspiracy will see the Frye twins working with legendary scientist Charles Darwin and other Charlie Dickens (he wrote a book or two) for a series of adventures. Here’s the announcement trailer.
It looks like there’s a good chunk of additional gameplay here, with some mention of travelling through various eras and locations.
We have no idea how that’s going to work in practise but it’s good to see DLC which has a bit of extra care and attention paid to it, rather than just giving us a different colour hat.
The main game sees Jacob and Evie Frye on the mean streets of London in 1868.
The Industrial Revolution is kicking up all kinds of steam and smoke and they have the small matter of stirring up a revolt against the ruling classes - who are naturally controlled by those pesky Templars.
The new setting means a whole new detailed map to explore and plenty of ways to get around, including carriages and some very steamy looking trains.
You’ll also get to be at the head of a gang and beat people up in the streets, if that is something you enjoy.
Get the Darwin and Dickens content if you pre-order Syndicate.
