VIDEO Exclusive footage of Ripper Street filming in Dublin
TV show Ripper Street has had an interesting time over the last couple of years. Originally starting on BBC for its first two seasons it was cancelled due to poor ratings in late 2013. But by Februrary 2014 it was already back in production thanks to a deal to bring season 3 to Amazon Prime Instant Video, where it became a huge success with customers and critics alike. Now it's been renewed for seasons 4 and 5 and it's already shooting in Ireland.
The production most recently stopped off at Collin's Barracks in Dublin 7. The former military installation now houses the Museum of Decorative Arts and History and is playing host to night shoots for the series which is set in the late 1800s. For the shoot on the night of the 24th of August the area was lit by cranes from on high for a daytime scene on the streets of Victorian London. We managed to grab some quite footage of leading player Jerome Flynn (Game of Thrones) getting ready for a take.
