VIDEO: Every Samsung Galaxy Note put through drop test
Samsung released the first Galaxy Note back in 2011, while the Galaxy Note 5 is just out in the US. So, of course, YouTuber TechRax put the handsets through their paces.
Every handset is dropped twice – once on its side and once on its face – from a height of five feet. It’s not the most scientific process, but it’s still quite interesting and gives you an idea of how much damage a fall can do to an unprotected phone.
The Note 5 appears to fare the best from just looking at it after its encounter with the ground. But its success seems to be superficial; the device appears to be unusable after the test.
It’s a pretty thorough video, clocking in at just over 12 minutes. If you’re in a rush and just want the results, there’s a recap segment at the end where he goes over each phone.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is now available in the US, but doesn’t seem to be getting a European release.
