Cities Skylines DLC gets release date and price

The DLC, which adds a day-night cycle, will be priced at $14.99. Developer Colossal Order is yet to reveal how that translates in other territories.

After Dark will showcase what happens in your city when the sun goes down. There will be fewer people on the streets, though there will be some new night-time services to convince people to stay out; crime may increase; budgets for nocturnal activities will need to be managed; service vehicles may roam the less busy streets; and there are new city elements.

“There are new lighted signs, neon signs and other lights to make the city look interesting during the night. The sun rises and sets, painting the sky with bright colours, you can see the moon and stars move across the night sky," said lead designer Karoliina Korppoo.

Night-time will result in more opportunities, challenges, and issues for players to deal with. When announcing the DLC earlier this month, publisher Paradox Interactive asked, “Will you construct a bustling city that lives and breathes at night or will your city succumb to the perils and misadventures of night life?"

Cities Skylines: After Dark will be released on September 24th.
