These jeans will charge your iPhone!
Smartphones are incredible inventions - connecting you to other people through the internet and to a world of information. They're our personal planners, handy cameras and lifelines all in one slick package. But all of that busywork takes its toll, particularly on battery life.
Smartphone battery life sucks - there we've said it! Any time you need to be able to keep using your handset that little battery icon rockets down, cutting out at the worst possible moment. Well it turns out the solution might be in the very jeans you wear!
Joe's Jeans have brought out a new style called #hello. These skinny jeans comes in four great styles and have a couple of amazing hidden features. Like a secret pocket which stores a battery charger and another practically hidden side pocket for your handset. With a tiny cable you can link the two and BAM - your iPhone is charging!
It's a pretty cool idea and unique in a couple of ways - for example the placement of the phone pocket makes it much easier to fit larger handets even into skinnies and it's offset to the hip so you won't sit on the iPhone and make it into a curved phone.
Given that it's a USB style charger we're willing to bet that this will also work with non Apple phones but the side pocket might not be so accomodating for larger handsets.
The only bad news really is the price - the jeans themselves retail for $189 dollars... and that doesn't include the battery. That will run you an extra 49 bucks and it won't actually recharge the phone fully.
