VIDEO: Can the OnePlus 2 survive a drop test?
YouTuber TechRax, who is known for mistreating handsets in the name of science, put the OnePlus 2 to the test. It is first subjected to a side drop test, before later being dropped on its face.
The OnePlus 2 comes through the side drop test pretty well. There is a marking where the phone hits the ground. But TechRax says “it’s not too bad,” and that he would have expected a little more.
It survives being dropped on its screen, but it is shattered. The phone is still usable, and doesn’t freeze up like its predecessor did when it was dropped, but the screen is worse for wear. It’s functional and the shatter is pretty smooth, but you may want to get the screen replaced anyways.
The OnePlus 2 is now available, but if you want to get your hands on one you’ll need to be invited.
