VIDEO: Hilarious clip from Inside Out short Riley's First Date
Inside Out is one of Pixar’s best films, with a surprisingly complex story, fun characters and a huge amount of imagination. And while the people involved won’t comment on a sequel just yet, we are going to be getting more from that world very soon.
The upcoming home video release of Inside Out will feature an all-new short called Riley’s First Date. And you can probably guess what it’s all about. Here’s the first clip with more hilarious diving into the brains of characters like Mom and Dad.
Silly, yes. Embarrassing, certainly. Funny - absolutely!
It’s a great bit of extra material from the film, with the same level of care and wit in a more openly comedic frame.
Both Kyle MacLachlan and Diane Lane are back as the parents and the voices of Riley’s emotions all come from original cast members including Amy Poehler and Bill Hader. Even if they only speak for a second here.
It’s not know how long the short here will be but Pixar’s extra feature one shots tend to run just a couple of minutes.
Still that’s plenty of time to cram in gags and life lessons and its interesting to see the character of Jordan reappear after his brief moment at the end of the feature film. Hopefully his mind is capable of a few more thoughts this time around.
The short will be available on home media releases of Inside Out, starting on the 13th of October 2015 in the States with the Digital HD version, with DVD and blu-ray following on November 3. Unfortunately, with Inside Out still doing well in cinemas in Ireland we don’t even have a release date for home media here yet.
