VIDEO: Watch every explosion in Arnold Schwarzeneggers boom-filled career
Arnold Schwarzenegger has been starring in movies for well over 30 years and in all that time the Austrian action star has blown up a lot of sh*t. And it’s about time that cinematic carnage was captured for all time. And so it has come to pass, with over 30 minutes of footage documenting every significant boom from Hercules in New York to Sabotage. And he’s definitely got a few more in him.
Obviously this is among the greatest things ever, especially because it includes so many of Arnie’s best one-liners, themselves pure examples of what an explosion would sound like if it was formed of words instead of shrapnel.
Also it just reminds us of how inescapably cool Predator is - it’s time to watch that one again. And you have to love how the expletives are bleeped out but people exploding is deemed just fine for viewers of any age.
Some stats if you were too lazy to watch to the end - that’s 665 explosions over the 23 films counted and - quite naturally - Predator has the most booms with a total of 77.
Though that’s pretty weird when you consider that he was in a couple of Terminator movies where the world basically ended. There’s also a pretty extensive list of rules about how explosions were counted, which is pretty cool in and of itself.
