Dark Souls creator and From Software president Hidetaka Miyazaki has said that he wants to work on a title in the sci-fi genre.

Dark Souls creator will lend Miyazaki Touch to sci-fi game

He previously suggested at E3 that such a title is on the cards, and recently said that he will be bringing the “Miyazaki Touch" to the title.

This game, he indicated, could be part of his remit as From Software president to launch "several new projects.”

While From Software is currently working on Dark Souls III, and it won’t be the last in the series, Miyazaki believes it’s not a good idea to continuously release games in the series.

From Software will expand its scope, something that Miyazaki says that people have expressed interest in seeing.

Dark Souls III will be released in 2016.
