Telltales Walking Dead set for Wii U launch
Telltale's The Walking Dead video game series kicked off in April 2012 and has been thrilling fans of tight narratives and adventure games ever since. Across two seasons and a mini-series, it quite simply has some of the best writing ever seen in a game, and more emotion than most movies we've watched recently.
The series has appeared on pretty much every platform you can think of to date - including mobile, Ouya, PC and pretty much every console but not quite all. That's set to be remedied soon with a release on Nintendo's Wii U.
According to a listing on the Game.co.uk website, A Walking Dead Combo Pack will be getting a release on Wii U on the 30th of October 2015. That will include both season 1 and season 2 as well as the bridging episode 400 Days which was released in 2013. That's a good 10-15 hours of content with an incredible story arc - though we really wouldn't recommend playing it all through in one sitting. You might find you have no feels left.
This release is a good way to keep the game in public consciousness as word on Season 3 has been pretty limited so far. It seems we won't be seeing another full series until some time in 2016 but fans needn't fret - another mini-series is on the way before the end of the year. Titled The Walking Dead Michonne it deals with that popular sword-weilding character from the comics and what happened with her after she separated from the Grimes group - the ones you see in The Walking Dead TV show.
It's likely that this new content will be offered to Wii U adopters, and hopefully for free.
