VIDEO: Leaked vid shows off 6-inch Huawei Mate 8
The 18-second video, via tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer’s YouTube channel and courtesy of @blassKriss, shows us what the device looks like.
The Mate 8 will reportedly have a 6.0-inch display with 1,440 x 2,560 pixels QHD screen resolution. This translates to a pixel density of 490 ppi.
The device is said to be powered by Huawei’s own Kirin 950 SoC. Apparently, there will be two variants, one with 3GB RAM and 32GB of onboard storage and another with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage space.
Huawe’s Mate 8 will feature a 20.7 megapixel rear-facing camera and an 8 megapixel front-facing snapper.
It’s also thought that a fingerprint scanner will sit just beneath the rear-facing camera.
Naturally, Huawei is yet to comment on this video. It’s unlikely that it will until it’s time to announce the Mate 8.
