Nicki Minaj and Jason Statham getting their own mobile games

After the success of Kim Kardashian: Hollywood and snapping up Katy Perry and Britney Spears, mobile developer Glu has announced two new mobile games starring Nicki Minaj and Jason Statham.

Statham’s game is a first-person shooter titled Sniper X: Kill Confirmed and is due out this year. It will feature “high-pressure, first-person shooter gameplay,” as well as Statham’s name, likeness, and voice.

Less is known about Minaj’s game. It will include Minaj's name, likeness, voice, and creative direction, but it’s unclear what it will revolve around. The game’s name hasn’t been announced yet. It is expected to be released in winter 2016.

Kim Kardashian: Hollywood is thought to have sold more than $74 million in one year. Glu clearly has money to throw around to snap up these big names and is hoping to replicate this success again.

Expect to see Glu’s next wave of mobile games hit app stores soon. And more celebrity signings could soon follow suit, especially if these titles can strike a chord with players.
