It’s the movie we never thought would get made but Deadpool is real, it’s in the can and we’re going to see the first footage soon.

Deadpool violent and expletive Red Band trailer coming next week

Ryan Reynolds has stepped into the suit after years of talking up the role, and a time in 2009 where he played a basterdised version in X-Men Origins Wolverine. This time around things are going to be very different, with an accurate take on the crazy cancerous character. And it's going to differ in another way too, with a whole lot of violence and swearing worthy of an R-rating.

It will be Fox's first Marvel movie with an R-rating, following on from the likes of X-Men and Fantastic Four - though they did release the co-production Kingsman which was based on a Marvel off-shoot. And we're going to get to see the mayhem first hand with the release of a red band trailer next week!

There will also be a green band version attached to releases of Fantastic Four in cinemas but the big news is definitely seeing the blood and bullets and b-words spray. The violent version will debut on Conan on Tuesday the 4th of August so you can bet some version of it will be online for you to watch on Wednesday morning.

Deadpool debuted some footage at Comic-Con earlier in the year and the response was rapturous. You can find it online but personally we're going to wait to see the character in proper HD glory.

The film is directed by VFX dude Tim Miller and also stars Morena Baccarin, Gina Carano, T.J. Miller and Ed Skrein.

Deadpool is in cinemas in February 2016.
