Samsung's next smartwatch will have a rotating bezel

Samsung confirmed that its upcoming Gear A smartwatch will feature a rotating bezel.

Samsung made the announcement at its Tizen Developer Summit 2015 in India. SamMobile tweeted images and details from the event.

The bezel will have 24 steps surrounding the face. It will be used to improve user navigation, and will be usable in games and for zooming. The round screen also lets Samsung use the outer edges to display progress bars.

This bezel was discovered from the SDK launched several months ago. This is the first time that it’s been made official.

Samsung is yet to announce the final name of its smartwatch or what the device will actually look like.

Samsung will host an Unpacked event on August 13th where we may hear more about its upcoming smartwatch.
