Angry Birds 2 is out and free on Android

There have been a variety of spin-offs and themed games released in the six years since Angry Birds was released, but now Rovio has released a fully-fledged sequel.

The sequel changes things up somewhat. Players now get to choose which bird to use next, meaning that they can plan out a level as they see fit. And some of the levels even have multiple stages.

Angry Birds 2 also adds the Arena, which allows you to challenge players and compete in tournaments. This game mode is unlocked at Level 25.

Rovio has released a couple of teaser videos, which showcase the game in action and hint at some of the game’s new features.
