Scalebound developer launches expletive-laden tirade at Microsoft

Platinum Games’ Hideki Kamiya, who is currently game director on Scalebound, is less than happy with Microsoft and he’s not afraid to let everyone know.

Scalebound developer launches expletive-laden tirade at Microsoft

He’s usually an outspoken character on Twitter, which once again acts as his platform of choice for his rant. He will be showing off Scalebound at the Xbox briefing, but doesn’t seem thrilled with that.

“Those sh**s at MS… are they f**king with me…?” he tweeted. Kamiya added, “If I were to go to Gamescom, I want to go for users, not as a prop of Xbox Briefing.”

It seems like the marketing of Scalebound may be one sticking point. When asked by a fan what he thought of Microsoft’s promotion of Scalebound, he responded, “I don’t like their marketing.”

When pressed for more information, Kamiya said, “See the main art of Scalebound at their site. It’s AWFUL.” Fans kept at him about the game’s marketing, resulting in Kamiya tweeting a dismissive, “Whatever. It’s junk.”

Some of the tweets have since been deleted, but those at NeoGAF and Game On were too quick. Once something’s on the internet, there’s a good chance it’ll be around forever.

Scalebound will be shown off during Gamescom next week. Hopefully Kamiya will be happier with its presentation during the showcase.
