Ellie Goulding rumoured to have recorded Spectre's theme song

British pop star Ellie Goulding may have recorded the theme song for Spectre, the latest entry in the Bond franchise.

Ellie Goulding rumoured to have recorded Spectre's theme song

BMI Music has a song registered under Ellie Goulding titled “Spy.” Showbiz 411 believes that this song will be the theme song for Spectre.

Goulding herself has also been dropping hints over the past few weeks linking her to Spectre. Earlier this month, she tweeted, ““Live and let die,” a possible reference to the 1973 James Bond movie with the same title.

She also posted an image to Instagram of her leaving the Abbey Road Studios in London, with the caption “That’s a wrap!”

This may undermine her status as one of the frontrunners though, as director Sam Mendes previously said that the song has already been recorded and is sounding “fantastic.” Perhaps they were just adding the final touches and polish.

Other artists in the running include Radiohead, Sam Smith, and Ed Sheeran.
