LG G Pad 2 expected to arrive in October

LG is apparently working on a successor to the LG G Pad 8.3, which could be released in October.

The LG G Pad 2 will have an 8.3-inch screen, just like the original G Pad, but will up the resolution to 1080p. That’s according to Leaksfly on Weibo who list some of the tablet’s other specs too.

The upcoming tablet is expected to feature a quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, an 8MP rear camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, 32GB of internal storage and run Android 5.1.1.

These may not seem like top-of-the-range specs, but the original G Pad 8.3 was quite reasonably priced, so its successor may follow in its footsteps in that regard.

The G Pad 8.3 is certainly overdue a refresh, but these specs are far from official. If the tablet is to be released in October, as expected, there should be some more news in the coming weeks.
