Metal Gear Solid V's download sizes revealed
The game has just gone up for pre-order on the Japanese PlayStation store, giving people a glimpse at their detail pages on PS3 and PS4. There isn't a lot of new information to be found but these pages do reveal the download sizes on the two Sony platforms. Check them out.
Surprisingly this massive open world game won't be taking up that much space on your hard drive, which makes it a refreshing change from behemoths like GTA V at 50 gigs. It's likely that this is at least partly down to the fact that The Phantom Pain is getting a simultaneous release on older consoles, forcing the developers to be more stringent with their requirements on memory and storage.
Metal Gear has never been the most attractive series either, and previous entry Ground Zeroes only ran to 4 gigs even on the PlayStation 4. The big take away is that just because its a smaller install size that doesn't mean the game isn't going to be absolutely huge, especially given that The Phantom Pain is the first truly open world entry in the series.
